Hilliard and Harriet Crews
Hilliard and Harriett established Shelby Group Int’l., Inc. in 1974, originally known as Memphis Glove Company. From its modest beginnings with first-year sales of $110,000, the company experienced rapid growth, nearly doubling its sales annually, reaching an impressive $33 million by 1984.
Shelby Group has evolved into a global player, manufacturing and distributing industrial gloves, safety glasses, and safety garments worldwide. It operates factories in the USA, Mexico, and China, with a presence in five countries and annual sales exceeding $300 million. The company, with over 500 employees in the USA and 1500 worldwide, was a pioneer in telemarketing to businesses and was among the first American manufacturers in China in the late 70s.
Shelby Group earned recognition as one of the 100 fastest-growing companies in America, being ranked three times by Inc Magazine. Currently headquartered in Collierville, Tennessee, the company's primary warehouse, spanning half a million square feet, is located in Piperton, TN. In 2020, after 46 successful years, Hilliard and Harriett Crews made the strategic decision to sell the company to Bunzl PLC, a prominent entity listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Jason and Michelle Crews
Jason Crews, President and Owner of Eagle Builders and Crews Development, is a native Memphian and has developed numerous residential, commercial and industrial properties in the Memphis Metro from Downtown Memphis to Fayette County. Crews Development offers an array of raw land, developed lots for custom home sites, retail, office and industrial space.
As a graduate of the University of Memphis, Crews holds a bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Finance and has been acquiring, developing and selling properties for 25+ years. Licensed as a real estate broker for 23+ years, Crews is a member of the Memphis Area Association of Realtors and Memphis Area Homebuilders Association. He is a board member of Crews Family Foundation. A former board member of Shelby Group International, Inc., Triumph Bank and Collierville Chamber of Commerce.
Michelle Crews, a native Memphian, holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Biology from the University of Memphis. Her role in Architectural and Interior Design at Crews Development, spanning both commercial and residential projects, showcases her instrumental contribution to the business.
Dr. Roger & Stacy McGee
Roger McGee Jr. was born and raised in Memphis. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and a medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He is a board-certified general surgeon and has worked in the greater Memphis area for over fifteen years. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is employed at Germantown Surgical Associates.
Stacy Crews McGee, also a native Memphian, has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. After college, she worked at Shelby Group International and has worked with the Crews Foundation since 2013. Stacy and Roger attend Grace Evangelical Church.
